An India-based New Delhi-headquartered organisation which uses sports to transformative the lives of the underprivileged youth. It was founded in 2000 by Siddhartha Upadhyay, a sports enthusiast, brand consultant, philanthropist and social entrepreneur. It uses sports to help the disadvantaged break out of the vicious circle of poverty and promote inclusive social growth in their communities. The organisation was formally registered in 2005.
The UN recognises access to sport as the right of every child and also uses it as a tool for fundraising, advocacy and raising public awareness about its objectives. So does the Indian government. Sport is an integral part of strategy to achieve personal and community development objectives. It can bind people like a religion and inspire individuals to outperform themselves.
